It's time to prepare holiday greetings for clients, customers and vendors. Select a generic happy holiday or greetings for the season card (unless you know your addressee's religious affiliation) and get started.
On the Envelope:
- Handwrite the recipient's name and address.
- Indicate your return address on the front or back.
- Use a first class, not a metered, stamp.
Inside the Card:
- Acknowledge the recipient by name.
- Add a personal, yet professional, message (at least one line of warm wishes).
- Sign the card even if your and/or your company's name is pre-printed in the copy.
A good business relationship is worth the additional (and attention-getting) effort. And, by the bye, e-mailed holiday greetings are not appropriate.
